The Hertz Foundation Freedom to Innovate Fellowship

Successfull Candidates are:

  • Innovators who see challenges in new ways
  • Eager to make a positive impact in the applied physcial, biological, and engineering sciences
  • Applying to a PhD program or are in the first year of one
  • An American citizen or permanent resident

Hertz Fellowships offer you:

  • Full tuition equivalent for up to five years
  • A stipend of $32,000 per academic year
  • $5,000 annually for dependent childcare
  • $38,000 if coordinated with other 3 year fellowship
