Exploratorium recruiting for two educator positions: Senior Science Educator/Professional Developer and Senior Science Educator/Researcher.

Oct 25, 2016

Dear Colleagues,

The Institute for Inquiry (IFI) at the Exploratorium is recruiting for two educator positions—a Senior Science Educator/Professional Developer and a Senior Science Educator/Researcher.

We're seeking dynamic educators with a strong foundation in both research and practice, and a history of working in close collaboration with practitioners. Both of the positions would involve participation in all aspects of planning, designing and implementing IFI's professional learning workshops and institutes.

IFI is a national professional learning center within the Exploratorium's Institute for Research and Learning. Our programming is tailored to a variety of audiences who serve elementary teachers: professional learning providers, administrators, teachers, national education reform leaders and museum and university educators. IFI is also partnering with a local school district to provide professional development and create classroom experiences that integrate science and English Language Development, seeking to make the K-12 STEM Framework and the Next Generation Science Standards productive and accessible tools for teachers of English language learners.

As core members of our team, the Senior Science Educators would contribute to IFI's spirit of collaboration and benefit from the experience and relationships we've developed over time through focused work with our partners and participants.

Both job postings, and application instructions, can be found at: http://www.exploratorium.edu/about/jobs.
